The PROTEOR group was established in France almost a century ago now. At that time it specialized only in the supply of custom-made prostheses for disabled people, but in order to meet the needs of the numerous World War One amputees, it had soon extended its activities to include the design of components used by prosthetists to manufacture such prostheses.

The PROTEOR group has remained faithful to its original mission and gets feedback on a non-stop basis from professionals in the area of disability and from people who have had part of their independence and well-being taken away by life. In line with its values, in France and abroad PROTEOR is constantly developing its complete range of products and services which compensate for temporary and definitive physical impairments.

Today it is still an independent family-owned group - it is owned and managed by the Pierron family. Thanks to substantial investment in innovation and in ongoing efforts to improve its services, as well as its policy of medical, scientific and business partnerships, its position as the leader in the French external orthopaedics market is unquestionable and its expertise is now recognized all over the world.
